Memorial Day is the unofficial start to summer, it allows us to enjoy the nice weather and another round of revamping our house decor. Throughout the house, there’s an array of vibrant colors giving your home a Caribbean getaway feel. Crisp white wall with a splash color. Now don’t worry about the price because with this quick DIY you will be in summer heaven sooner than you think.
Have u ever noticed you can never find the right shower curtain that blends well without being too exact. We’re not big fans of the bathroom sets. We love coordinating and blending things giving it a signature feel. Then if you do find the right shower curtain it cost and arm and a leg. Oh no honey, so of course we had to find a cure for that. We found a way to make your own shower curtain yourself.
Things you will need:
- Clear plastic shower curtain or white
- Cream fabric shower curtains
- Fabric paint
- Spray paint
- Markers
- Ruler painters tape
- Painters tape
Directions
Use the marker as an outline for what you want your pattern to be.
If you’re using the plastic curtains you have to use painters tape to prevent spray paint from leaking on to the next color. Spray the colors you want and let dry for about 24hrs.
If you’re using the fabric curtain you should also use the painters tape, not as a barrier, but to ensure you get the accurate pattern. You can not use the spray paint on this type of curtain so you will be using fabric paint. Paint on the colors you want and let dry for about 24hrs. Others designs you can try as well is gold polka dot method or painting over a stencil
There are so many others designs you can try as well. The gold polka dot method is also very summer like and easy to get done. You can even get a stencil and start painting over that. Get creative and let us know how it turns out using #moderndomestic.
