Have you seen all of these ottomans that make your room look super chic? They are so cute decorated with books in your living room, at the foot of your bed with a throw over it, or simply in your walk in closet. With spring being here and summer dangerously close, EGL loves to revamp and decorate everything.
Things can get costly with staying fabulous and having a great home. Save some coins honey and do it yourself. Get inspired with this idea and choose any tip of fabric. You can even use faux fur to get that rich feeling! Here are the things you will need:
2” High density foam (Joanne Fabric Store)
Staple gun
Fabric (of your choice)
Coffee table (thrift store, or one you already have)
Decorative nail beds (optional)
Spray paint (any color)
Spray adhesive
Batting (fabric store and craft store)
First you will cut your foam to match the size of your table .Then you will adhere one layer of the foam on top of the table and adhere another layer of foam on top of the foam creating a high layer. Cut foam strips to go on the sides and glue them as well. After this you will see your ottoman coming together.
Then you will cover the foam with batting pull tightly and staple under the sides of the table.
Finally get your fabric out and cover. Make sure you have extra fabric, so you can tuck, fold and pull neatly as you staple it down to the table. Get fancy and add decorative nail beds pounding them into the sides, this is optional. We hope you enjoy your ottoman and we definitely want to see.
