Whenever looking through interior decorating magazines, do you ever find your self drooling over the décor?; Imagining the rooms decorated exactly how you wanted. Not to mention how fabulous and posh faux fur rugs make a room look! Well we have faux fur rug ideas for all colors, sizes, and shapes. They bring texture and richness to the room and we even found a way for you to make your very own. Here’s how:
Things you will need
Faux fur/sheepskin
Flokati (fabric store) get the desired measurement 5×7 , 8×10, or whatever you choose
Rug under lay (TARGET, WALMART OR IKEA’s anti slip rug underlay)
Two sided Velcro
Curved heavy duty needle and thread
With the desired measurement, match the rug underlay with the faux fur or cut to match the faux fur fabric. You will then need to sew down the Velcro to each corner of the under lay and proceed to sew on to the back of the faux fur material to attach it.
So easy and quick! There is an even easier way to make this rug on your own by hot gluing the Velcro down, but by sewing it you are able to remove the rug from the under lay and machine wash.
Get creative by making a multi colored faux fur rug and you can experiment with different sizes and shapes!
