Living Room:
Accent chairs in living rooms are great seating additions. In a large living room, accent chairs can be used to create a separate seating area. In small living rooms, ditch the love seat for two accent chairs. This not only creates more space, but it also looks fabulous. Using accent chairs instead of your typical sofa style seating is a modern twist on a traditional look. To exceed fabulousity, choose accent chairs that stand out. If your couches are solid, use printed accent chairs. To keep it simple, do the opposite of the primary material, color, or finish in your living room.

Accent chairs in the dining area are my favorite! When it comes to your dining room table, chairs are king! While all chairs should be detailed, choose the two on either end of the table to be different from the others. Depending on how elaborate you want to be, add a bench to one or both sides of the table, incorporating a chair and bench style seating. The same applies for round tables. You can incorporate a bench, or mix and match wooden chairs with upholstered chairs.

Bedroom:
Your bedroom is not officially complete until you have an accent chair or bed bench. If you have a desk, be sure that the chair in front of your work station steals the show. Accent chairs are fabulous amongst a vanity. If you have a seating area in your bedroom, replace a chaise lounge with two bold chairs and throw pillows.
