After a long week sometimes you just want to relax. Block out all the stresses of the world and expericence the feeling of tranqulity. A nice spa weekend would do the trick, right? But what if there was a way you can have a spa weekend every weekend. Like everyday if your really needed to unwind. These 5 ways are affordable and should work in just about any bathroom (even small or windowless ones!)
Enclose It
Spas gives you the ablilty to take a break from life. Allowing you to focus, for a moment, on only YOU. Creating a barrier within your bathroom gives you that same ability. You can achieve this with a dramatic shower curtain. Obscuring your view of anything else. Just you and your nice warm bath.
Add an Element of Surprise
Ever walked into a room saw something so out of place it felt so right. Well, you too can have that element. Look for art pieces of cool wall paper art and put them in wierd places that fits what you want. A mirror in uncommon position or bouqute of flowers on the edge of the tub.
Please all 5 Senses
From smell to touch please all senses by first cutting out all things brings you stress. Loud noises or unpleasant scents. Maybe you don’t like the brightness that the lights bring in your bathroom. You can invest in a dimmer that give you the chance to set the lights the way you want. And if that doesnt work you can always buy nice candles.
Presentation is a MUST
Having scented candles, great smelling soaps, bath salts and other spa worthy items are great ways to create your spa bathroom. But you can’t just have them everywhere or lined up. Purchasing spa like containers where you can organize your sponges and soaps with allow you still have a spa feel on a Modern Domestic budget. Presentation is everything, so take time to create a space that you will love to come in on a daily basis.
Softness is the Key to Happiness
Once your ready to re-enter the world of your life. Make sure you end your experience with nothing but softness. Step out of the bath on to a soft floor mat. Then leave in a soft robe, soft fluffy slippers or soft fleeing towels.
We all need a moment to relax and unwind. Use thes tips and let us know what spa details you have added in your home in the comments.
