The beginning of a new year is quickly approaching. With new years’, come New Year resolutions and goals. We make resolutions to change poor habits and create goals such as finishing college, or finding Mr. Right. No matter the resolution, or goal, a vision board is a great way to display whatever you want to be, to do, or have in life. “Vision boards create clarity, keep you focused, and help to keep your attention on your intentions” (makeavisionboard.com)
Where vision boards meet décor!
It is one thing to cut and paste photos and words onto a board, but in order to turn our vision into reality, we must display our boards in an area that gets our attention on a daily basis. This may be in your home office, living room, or displayed in your bedroom, so that it is the first thing you see when you wake up. The style and type of vision board varies by individual. Your personality should be displayed in your vision board. For example, if you love color and print, be sure that it is present.
How vision boards meet décor
When it comes to creating our vision boards, there are a number of ways to do so. To keep it simple, you can use poster boards, or cork boards to post photos and affirmations. For a more formal look, consider framing your boards. This is a great option for those who intend to alter their vision. Chalk board paint is also a forgiving option when it comes to making changes to your vision. Simply select a wall to paint, and use chalk to handwrite your vision. With the chalkboard paint approach, you have the freedom to display your thoughts, accomplishments and calendar on a life size canvas. For more creativity, use color chalk board paint and chalk. All you need is…

Vision board parties are current trending events. Recently, Chief Activator Lucinda Cross was featured in the January issue of Essence Magazine for her powerful vision boards. Are you into hosting? If so, invite over some friends, gather your materials and build your visions together.
Vision boards can be created any time of the year. The benefit you have is that you can bring in the New Year with a new vision, displayed in a new way. You can also turn vision board parties into a new tradition. We all have a vision, but it is up to us to make it a reality. Create your boards or walls and witness the magic happen!
